Sigh. Intelliscape stays on the forefront of the this curve as can be seen here on location with Chris Karcher and the hot new Red camera which is capable of shooting images in 4k resolution. Don’t let the size of the camera be an indicator as to how well it performs any more. The Sony EX1 (photo) can output natively in hi def 1080p, records on memory cards and has a great lens on board. There are many useful applications for these cameras including the ability to fly around on jib arms without the need for a large crew.
Intelliscape in association with their client Media O, utilized the latest green screen technology to produce an infomercial White Smile USA. Host Regan Wallake ultimately will reach over and touch a vertical surface of water, which rolls in the video segments. Filming a sinking boat out on a lake can create a lot of challenges including continuity between takes. The best solution cam from Panavision, which provided us with multiple cameras with long lenses to get the additional coverage needed to see the captain’s face sink under water no matter which way the boat drifted.
